Passionné de musique après avoir découvert la guitare vers l'âge de 12 ans, j'ai à cœur aujourd'hui de transmettre à mon tour les joies de cet instrument. J'ai enseigné déjà pendant une dizaine d'années à des élèves en cours particuliers essentiellement. Je suis musicien professionnel depuis environ 2 ans à travers les concerts dans mes différents projets, du jazz manouche à la cumbia, en passant par la musique Folk bluegrass. J'ai suivi une année de formation à l'école Music Halles à Toulouse il y a quelques années pour enrichir mon jeu et parfaire mon approche. Piano lessons in Jazz, Classical, or Modern styles; depending on the student's interest, we can mix a bit of everything or delve deep into one style. Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more. From my experience, rhythm, "Groove", and the connection with the music in the moment it is being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate. Thus, I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially those aimed at playing polyrhythmic instruments such as the piano. I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills. I also teach classical piano for those interested, and offer specific training in rhythm and percussion. I am fully committed to my students. Ik speel en studeer al vele jaren muziek en ben ook actief met optredens en opnames voor mijn eigen projecten of die van anderen. Ik geef nu ruim 8 jaar les en heb ervaring met het samenwerken met beginners, halfgevorderden en gevorderden. Op dit moment verfijn ik mijn lessen voor mensen die de basis al kennen en hun kennis willen uitbreiden. Ik ben een jazzgitarist en mijn voornaamste interesse is improvisatie, maar de lessen zijn niet beperkt tot mensen die jazz willen leren, maar ook voor mensen met interesse in blues, rock, pop, enz. Ik woon in Rotterdam, waar ik muziektheorie (harmonie, compositie, muzikale taal...), improvisatie en instrumentlessen geef. De lessen zijn bedoeld voor leerlingen van alle leeftijden, niveaus en verwachtingen (ongeacht of het instrument een hobby voor hen is, of dat ze hun vaardigheden willen aanscherpen ter voorbereiding op toelatingsexamens voor het conservatorium, etc.).
